Heat the seaming iron to the temperature recommended by the tape manufacturer, and rests it directly on the tape for 30 seconds. Then slowly slide the iron along the tape and press the seam into the melted glue behind the iron. General carpet floor care tips

Remove all the spills as they happen. Try to blot rather than rubbing. Use dry and clean clothes to soak excessive moisture then use a dry/wet vacuum if spill is large. Try to use warm water instead of hot water to stained area. Blot the area with clean cloth and repeat the process until no stain is evident.

For some obstinate stains you can use a solution of ¼ teaspoon of detergent to one cup of water (lukewarm). Try not to use creamy detergents as then can leave a sticky residue. Carpets must be vacuumed regularly to clean up any accumulation of dust. Most manufacturers suggest having your carpets professionally cleaned at least once a year.
